Flavor House is a Los Angeles–based creative studio founded in 2020 by Ryan Burnett and Zach Thistle.

We work with a team of talented creatives, from concept to delivery, making content that’s thoughtful, unique and memorable… at least we like to think so.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Zach spent several years working in music production before channeling his true passion for food into an agency job as their in-house food stylist and culinary producer. Here, he developed and created high quality imagery, social videos, and short & long form cooking shows for an array of notable food brands.

During this time, Ryan worked on staff at a production company, directing, shooting, and editing projects ranging from multicam fitness shoots to music videos. The fast-paced environment helped him develop a strong technical foundation and an instinct for visual storytelling. Outside of work, he continued honing his photography — capturing his love for travel, people, and culture.

Enter the 2020 shutdown. The two were searching for a new creative outlet and launched a travel & food series called Take It Outside, which they shot, directed, and starred in (we use that last term loosely). Through the process, they realized the strength of their collaboration. After landing their first commercial photography project together, they decided to fully pursue their shared vision and founded Flavor House.
